Humboldt County Record Contacts

This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm a person’s custody or release, post bond, release anyone, or retrieve an official booking record. Use the responsible public office below for those matters.

Humboldt County Official Routes

For county booking-record guidance, begin with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, 50 W. Fifth Street, Winnemucca, NV 89445, main telephone 775-623-6419. The published county contact information does not identify a separate records email or a dedicated booking-photo request form. It also does not state public counter or records hours, so call before visiting. The Detention Division provides booking-information assistance at 775-623-6423; the Humboldt County Detention Center is at 801 Fairgrounds Road in Winnemucca. A written request should be addressed to HCSO and identify the person, date, booking number if known, arresting agency, and the particular record sought.

  • Emergency: call 911. For a public-safety issue that is not urgent, HCSO non-emergency dispatch is 775-623-6429.
  • Current custody or booking information: contact the HCSO Detention Division at 775-623-6423. Ask staff about the current custodian and release process rather than expecting an immediate photograph or record copy.
  • Booking sheet or photograph: use the HCSO main office and a focused Nevada Public Records Act request. Under NRS 239.0107, the agency responds by the end of the fifth business day with availability, an estimate, or a basis for withholding. That response is not an automatic production deadline.
  • Court case or disposition: Union Township Justice Court is at 50 W. Fifth Street, Rooms 208–210, Winnemucca, NV 89445, telephone 775-623-6377. The Sixth Judicial District Court chambers are at 25 W. Fifth Street, Room 212, telephone 775-623-6371. The County Clerk is at 50 W. Fifth Street, telephone 775-623-6343.
  • State-prison custody: a person sentenced to Nevada state prison is outside the county jail system. Use the official NDOC offender search for that separate custody source.
  • Federal or immigration custody: use the official BOP Inmate Locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator, not the county detention route.
